Postdoctoral Research Positions at Interdisciplinary Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
The Interdisciplinary Center for Intercultural and Indigenous Studies (ICIIS – FONDAP) invites applications for four postdoctoral research positions. The Center aims to develop interdisciplinary and collaborative research on issues related to indigenous people and intercultural relationships in Chile and South America, with a special focus on recognition, multiculturalism and indigenous identity in Chile.
The Center is looking for candidates to develop their research in the following areas: (1) public policy and recognition; (2) economic-productive development and environment; (3) heritage, culture and archeological legacy; and (4) indigenous and non-indigenous subjectivities and conflict.
Successful candidates must have a PhD at the time of appointment (awarded within the last 5 years) and demonstrate a strong record of publication of their research. Salary is US$ 30,000 per year approximately. Each position is for two years, but renewal for the second year will be subject to fulfillment of objectives.
